Dr Nicolaos Giannainas

Dr Nikolaos Giannainas is a Concultant Cardiologist, Heart Rhythm Specialist and Interventional Electrophysiologist. 

  He holds a medical degree from Democritus University of Thrace and he has attended the Interventional Cardiology MSc programme in University of Athens. He was awarded with the Certificate in Core Cardiology in 2021 by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), Certificate of Cardiac Electrophysiology level 1 & 2 in 2022 by the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) and Certificate of Cardiac Devices level 1 & 2 in 2023 by the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA). 

  He undertook his core cardiology training in Thriasio Hospital, Athens (Greece) , General Hospital of Lamia and NIMTS Veterans Hospital, Athens (Greece) and pursued further subspecialty training as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Freeman Hospital, Newcastle-upon-Tyne (UK) and in Barts Heart Hospital, St Bartholomew’s, London (UK).

  Dr Giannainas specializes in: Diagnosis, Treatment and follow up of Tachycardias, Bradycardias and Ectopic Beats, Ablation procedures for Atrial Fibrillation and cardiac arrhythmias, implantation and follow up of Cardiac Pacemakers and Defibrillators, services offered within El Greco Hospital in Nicosia.
